Frequently asked questions
Q. How long after the wedding will I be able to see my online preview?
A. It takes between 4-6 months to retouch each and every image and to get them organized for your web gallery depending on the number of photographers and hours that were booked.
Q. Can we order prints online?
A. Yes, your online gallery doubles as your source for print purchses.
Q. How many photos do you take?
A. I shoot approximately 100-125 photos per hour. I can shoot 750 photos on one memory card before having to change to a new one. I never limit what I shoot and always carry plenty of memory cards.
Q. Will I be able to have my own enlargements made from the disk I receive?
A. Yes, you can take the disk (digital negatives) to just about any photo lab to have enlargements printed. I do not encode any copyrights into the images so they belong to you.
Q. How long have you been a photographer?
A. I've been shooting for a little over 7 years and I've been in business for 3 years.
Q. Do special filters and effects (sepia toned or selective coloring) cost extra?
A. No, those kinds of special touches are part of my normal workflow and I can apply them to any image.
Q. Do you accept credit cards?
A. No, only personal checks or money orders paid in full two weeks prior to your event.
Q. Can you customize a package to fit my needs and budget?
A. Absolutely! There are different elements in each package that can either be modified or eliminated to reduce the cost. For example, instead of having a proof book created of all images, I could add a digital proof book to your DVD.
Q. Photographers generally show only their favorite images in their portfolios, but do you have a full wedding available to preview?
A. Absolutely! The only way to get a true sense of a photographer's style is to see an entire event. A full event can be made available online, via email or in person.
Q. Do you offer wedding albums?
A. Yes, and the prices start at $500 (plus tax) for a 20 page Graphi Studio Wedding Book with 40 images.
Q. Will you attend our rehearsal to see how the day will progress?
A. If that's important to you, please let me know well in advance so I can mark that time off in my schedule. There is no extra charge for this time.
Q. How do you dress when you shoot an event?
A. Each member of my team dresses in business-like attire (usually dark colors so we don't stand out).
Q. Do you have a studio?
A. No, I specialize in outdoor and on-location photgraphy. If you prefer an indoor shoot there are many places to use in the DFW area and for those that require a fee, you would be responsible for paying it and for booking the date and time for our shoot.
Q. What type of equipment do you use?
A. I use professional Nikon digital cameras, lenses and lighting. There are also various memory cards on hand which amount to about 12 gigs worth of space. That means the ability to shoot more than 2000 images!
Q. Do you allow guests to snap photos of their own?
A. Of course, The only time I ask them to put the cameras down is during our formals because their flashes can ruin the exposure. I'm happy to step aside and let everyone take their snapshot when I'm done with each pose!
